About the Band
Equinox Jazz is a Fort Collins–based six-piece band performing across the Northern Front Range of Colorado, focused on providing exceptional live jazz music for a wide range of occasions.
Our approach to jazz — what we call Contemporary Cool Jazz — features modern and reimagined compositions inspired by the jazz sounds of the 1980s through today. Drawing influence from artists such as Fourplay, Jeff Lorber, Stevie Wonder, Grover Washington Jr., the Yellowjackets, and David Sanborn, Equinox Jazz delivers a fresh, dynamic sound that resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
From clubs and community events to outdoor festivals and private engagements, the band brings an energetic yet sophisticated style that blends jazz fusion, Latin grooves, 1970s funk, and contemporary smooth jazz into one engaging experience.
Equinox Jazz was founded in 2024 and has built its reputation by performing throughout Northern Colorado, captivating listeners with its balance of precision, creativity, and joy.
